  Yesterday was a packed day : I showed around a friend who came for the first time to Singapore. In the morning we went for a small hike in the MacRitchie reservoir, watching animals and birds, and just enjoying the sounds of the forest and greenery.

• Les bonnes resolutions 2010

  Une de mes principales resolutions pour la nouvelle annee est d’eviter la "procrastination" : de ne plus remettre des choses de la categorie "important mais pas urgent" toujours pour demain, jusqu’a ce que elles deviennent vraiment urgentes.
  Dans le passe, avec cette strategie, j’ai bien reussi a ne pas bien preparer mes courses a pied ("je peux aussi courir demain, le park est tellement loin aujourd’hui") ; de payer tres cher des billets de voyage ("mince il y a deux mois ce n’etait pas (...)   suite

  This is the end of 2009, time to lay down the pencil (err... the laptop) and to do two things : first, to look back for the "what was good, what was bad" and second, plan 2010 - how to tackle the next year and what I want to achieve.

• Standard Chartered Singapore Half-marathon - dec 2009

  L’annee du ’champion’ s’est termine sur ce dernier semi-marathon, le Standard Chartered du Singapour. Je l’avais termine en 1h57 et une 547eme place sur 9000 coureurs l’annee derniere. Cette fois-ci, je me suis fait un programme, deja des mois en avance, pour suivre un entrainement plus soutenu et regulier : sortie longue le dimanche, et stade pendant la semaine.

• Two weeks away from the Standard Chartered Half 2009

  The last big race of the year is moving closer, and my new Garmin running watch reveals that the race will be "big" for some else. The preparation status is not the one of a champion :( Some 300 km since the purchase of the watch in July, that is an average of eventually 50 km per month. Sounds impressive, but that is coming down to only 12.5 km per week. Or one loop in the Bukit Timah reserve. Maybe good enough to finish the race another time below the pathetic 2 hours, but clearly not (...)  suite
